FISHER, GIBBS, PETTIGREW NAMED TO ALL-MEC TEAMS

WILMINGTON, NC - A trio of Hoggard players were named to the 2021 All-MEC Teams that were announced on Friday.

​

Junior guard Hoku Fisher was named to the First Team after leading the Vikings in scoring (11.7 ppg), assists (3.3 apg), and steals (1.9 spg). Fisher was fourth in the conference in scoring and steals and led the league in assists with 40.

​

Senior center Kris Gibbs and junior forward Korbin Pettigrew were each named to the Second Team. Gibbs averaged 8.3 ppg and 4.6 rpg while shooting 63 percent from the floor. Pettigrew averaged 10.2 ppg and 7.0 rpg.

​

Hoggard finished the season with an 8-4 overall record and shared the MEC Regular Season title with a 5-0 record. The Vikings lost to Apex Friendship in the first round of the NCHSAA playoffs.

​

The Vikings will return nine lettermen for the 2021-2022 season.
