#1 Terry Sanford too much for Hoggard

WILMINGTON, NC - Terry Sanford went on a 25-3 run to start the second half and cruised to a 64-25 win over Hoggard in the second round of the NCHSAA sectional playoffs in Fayetteville on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs are now 28-0 and will host Knightdale in the sectional finals on Friday night. Hoggard end it’s season with a 15-12 record.
Terry Sanford jumped out to an 11-2 lead and dominated every facet of the game. Hoggard was unable to get anything going on the offensive end all night long.
Stilman White led the Vikings with seven points.
Despite the lopsided loss, Hoggard can feel good about how they closed the season. The Vikings went 7-2 in February, finished in the top two in the Mideastern Conference for the fifth consecutive year, and won a playoff game for the fifth year in a row. |
