Vikings drop first conference game

WILMINGTON, NC - Hoggard was never able to get going on the offensive end on Tuesday
night as they lost for the first time in 2012, falling 63-24 at Brogden Hall against
New Hanover. The Vikings, now 13-4 overall and 4-1 in MEC play, dropped into second
place after the first half of the conference season. Junior guard Joe O’Donnell led
Hoggard with nine points.
The Vikings shot just 24 percent from the floor, turned the ball over 16 times, and
got beat 39-16 on the boards.
The JV team erased a 12 point deficit earlier in the evening and defeated New Hanover
41-36.
Both team will be back in action on Friday against Laney.
