Hoggard advances to second round

Hoggard trailed 56-50 with 1:30 remaining in Monday night’s first round NCHSAA playoff game, but closed the game on a 9-1 run to pull out a 59-57 win over Southeast Raleigh. The Vikings will now travel to Clayton for a second round game on Wednesday at 7:00. Tyler Thayer led Hoggard with 23 points while Trevor Singleton added 17 points and the game-winning basket.
